Fresh off the release of the already platinum Carter IV, Lil Wayne has begun recording music for his next project.

In a interview XXL, Young Money president, Mack Maine says the next project Lil Wayne will get done is the collaborative album with Juelz Santana, and will follow that up with a new Young Money album.

Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana began working on the I Cant Feel My Face album over five-years ago, but an official LP never came from their work together, now the two rappers have decided to start working on all new material for the joint album.

As Mack Maine speaks on I Cant Feel My Face he says:

“The next project he’s working on is I Can’t Feel My Face with [Juelz Santana]. Elz is talented man. He’s a young legend. [Wayne’s] back working in the studio. He has that and the Young Money album.”

Mack addresses the new YM project:

“We haven’t actually recorded one verse for that album. When we were on tour, we said we’re gonna wait until we get back to Miami to get everybody out there. We have one more show in Hawaii then we’ll start recording. It wont take long. Too much creativity for it to take a long time.”

Mack Maine also says fans can expect Tha Carter V, Tha Carter VI, and a sequel to Rebirth to be released from Lil Wayne down the line.
