Lil Wayne and Drake have spoke about releasing a joint album in the past, now it will finally come to fruition, as Birdman has confirmed that the album is definitely in the works and to expect it to be released sometime after the release of Wayne and Drake’s solo LP’s.

In an interview with XXL, Birdman spoke on the collaborative album with Drake and Wayne, and says it is definitely going to get done, and expect a different sound of that from Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne.

“Wayne and I recently talked about [the Weezy/Drake collabo album. That’s definitely going to get done.”

As Baby continued, he speaks on the difference of this album and Watch The Throne:

“It’s older versus younger. I listened to a few songs [off Watch The Throne] and it feels like an older feel to me. I think with Drake and Wayne, they young. They young cats. You got 23 and 28. Then you got Jay-Z and them, who are older and really on their way out the game. Then you got Wayne and Drake and them, who are still youthful to the game. So, it’s two different types of music all the way across the board.”

Baby adds:

“But what they’re doing is great. I think it’s great for the game, great for the business, great for retail as a whole. I just think when Wayne and Drake get together is going to be something real special also because we more youthful.”

Although no speculated time frame was given for the release of the joint album you can look-out for solo projects from both artists as Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV drops August 29th, and Drake’s Take Care is slated for a October 24th release.
