Lil Wayne surpasses the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, for the record of most Billboard Hot 100 hits.
According to Billboard, with his feature on Game’s new Jesus Piece single, “Celebration,” which debuted at #82 this week, Lil Wayne breaks the record for the most Billboard Hot 100 entries at 109, passing the previous record of 108 by Elvis that he held between 1958 and 2003.
The Young Money rapper managed to pass Elvis’ total in 13 years and three months, as Weezy’s first charting single came in the week of July 10, 1999.
Some say Elvis’ reign as the Billboard king may have lasted forever as he had 31 songs that landed in the top 100 between 1956 and 1958 before the Billboard chart existed.
The only other modern-day artist on the list is Jay-Z, who at this point has 71 charting singles, and is ranked #8 on the all-time list.
