While out in the UK, Kendrick Lamar stopped by Tim Westwood’s show and sat down for a Q&A session where he touched on multiple topics.

During the interview, the Compton rhyme-slinger spoke on his major label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city, Dr. Dre giving him creative control, the 2Pac hologram, and much more.

Kendrick Lamar speaks on the progress of good kid, m.A.A.d city:

“I’ve probably done about 40 records. I’ll narrow it down to like 13.”

On Dre giving him creative control of the album:

“He’s involved. What’s crazy, he gave me the freedom to go out and do me. That’s a great thing about the situation, because you don’t have that in today’s game where people actually really believe in what you’re doing.”

good kid, m.A.A.d city is slated to hit stores on October 2nd (via Aftermath/Interscope/Top Dawg.)
