Many people believe Kendrick Lamar’s major label debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city is the top album of the year. Now, Kendrick weighs in the discussion and names his favorite album of 2012, and touches on a few other topics such as the highlight of his year, collaborative project with J.Cole and more.

During a recent interview with RapUpTV, Kendrick Lamar named his favorite album of 2012.

The Compton rapper states:

My favorite album, Nas – “Life Is Good,” yeah crazy album.

Kendrick also touched on the highlight of his year, as he stated:

Putting an album out – on October 22nd I put it out.

As the interview continued, K Dot is asked if he expected the reaction he got off of GKMC:

I definitely went in the studio, and wanted to expect that. Saying I’m gonna do something a little beyond the norm. So I could get that reaction.

Kendrick also addressed the collaborative project with J.Cole, but says fans may have to wait a while longer:

Everybody’s asking for that. I just finished my album; of course he’s going back in on his second album. So we should find a time and meet him and lock in.
