The first-week sales total for Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city, which hit stores last week are in, and the TDE/Aftermath artist finds himself in the #2 spot on the Billboard charts.

According to HitsDailyDouble, the Compton rapper sold with-in his projection and moved 242,122 copies of his major label debut and came in #2 on the Billboard charts during his first sales week.

Kendrick Lamar had a great first sales week, and still landed at the #2 spot as he faced off against Taylor Swift who sold over 1.2 million copies of her new album Red, and debuted #1 on the charts in her first sales week.
