Just a short while ago, DJ Semtex took to his blog and posted the official album packaging for Kanye West’s forthcoming album, Yeezus.
To quote Semtex:
“Forget everything else you have seen, this is the official artwork. No cover, booklet, just a sticker on the reverse of the package with the track list.”
So it really looks like Kanye will drop his new album without releasing an official single or anything, and just let it ride come June 18th.
Yeezus is slated for a June 18th release and is available for
pre-order on iTunes [here].
Never mind the pre-order, as MTV reports that Ye has pulled the pre-order, and will let the album go straight to retail on June 18th as an associate of Kanye, Jean Touitou, tweeted out the updated info.
Touitou’s tweet read:
“No pre order please purchase June 18,”
Update: Don’t wanna give this its own post, because it’s not much, but it’s a 14 second snippet, mostly beat, on a new Yeezus track “Bound.”
Update #2: Kanye has made another, but very minimal change to the Yeezus album packaging as he has removed the “Yeezus” writing from the red sticker/tape on the CD case.
