Kanye West, Jay-Z & Frank Ocean Lead 2013 Grammy Nominations With 6 Nods Each

On Wednesday night, live from Nashville, the nominees for the 55th annual Grammy Awards were revealed, and Kanye West, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, alongside Pop group Fun., and rockers Mumford & Sons and The Black Keys earned 6 nods each to lead the nominations for the 2013 ceremony.

Other Hip Hop artists nominated include Drake, Nas, Young Jeezy, Wale, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Lupe Fiasco, The Roots, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, and others.

The 2013 Grammy’s will be broadcasted on February 10th live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

    I like Life is Good (and F&L2), but Undun is like a movie. The storytelling is on a whole different level. They took the concept of a young man just trying to make it day-by-day and getting sucked into drugs and violence, leading to his death…. a story that’s been told a million times in Hip Hop and pop culture, and made it incredibly refreshing.
    
    Not only that, but they introduced thought-provoking concepts by telling the story in reverse order. The features were amazing and fit right into the concepts as well.
    
    Oh, and after the album is over, they tell the same story using instrumentals only to end the album.
    
    I can’t say anything negative about Life is Good (with the exception of Summer on Smash), but I have so much respect for Undun. I’d be OK if Nas won though, that would be cool to see.
