As Def Sounds previously reported, CZAR Ceo Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond was on the run after an indictment came down on him due to his alleged involvement in a cocaine distribution operation.
Yesterday, According to the New York Post, the CZAR Ceo was spotted leaving the W Hotel in New York City’s Union Square, and he tried to outrun the DEA agents before he was finally caught and arrested on 21st Street and Park Ave.
After yesterday’s arrest, Henchman was arraigned in a Brooklyn federal court.
As Henchman appeared in court, according to the Wall Street Journal, he “pleaded not guilty to intentionally conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, witness tampering and obstruction of justice.”
Henchman’s lawyer gave a statement saying that the government is going to get a fight, as he said:
“This indictment was built on the backs of witnesses that have been threatened and bribed by federal prosecutors. And I plan to expose all of it. If the government wants a fight, they’re going to get a fight.”
Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond is currently being held without bond.
Last week as reported by Def Sounds, an inmate facing 30 years in jail for multiple charges and former friend of Henchman, Dexter Isaac claimed that he was payed $2500 by Henchman in 1994 to rob Tupac Shakur, and then shot him while Pac was leaving the Quad City Studios in Manhattan. That story is still developing, as people involved in the case are being questioned.
