The 90-min documentary that is directed by Ron Howard, Jay-Z Presents: “Made In America,” premiered on Showtime last night. Made In America gives the viewers an inside look of one of the biggest concerts of the past year, which took place in Philly in 2012 at Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
The “Made In America” festival was headlined, envisioned and curated by Jay-Z, directed by Howard, and produced by award-winning producers RadicalMedia and Participant Media, the film features performances and interviews from a wide range of musicians that include Gary Clark Jr., D’Angelo, Dirty Projectors, The Hives, Janelle Monáe, Odd Future, Rita Ora, Passion Pit, Pearl Jam, Run-D.M.C., Santigold, Jill Scott, Mike Snow, Kanye West and more.
The film also documents everything from Jay’s come-up from the now famous 560 State Street in Brooklyn, to his Philly takeover with footage from rehearsals and live performances.
