Jay-Z To Executive Produce 2K Sports “NBA 2K13″

Jay-Z will serve as the executive producer for 2K Sports basketball video game, NBA 2K13, which is set to be released on October 2.

The announcement of Jay’s executive producing duties on 2K13 came from the Life+Times site earlier today.

Let me rephrase. How does Jay-Z executive producing a basketball video game going to make it better? I mean, the soundtrack should be dope. But in what other way can he really contribute? Oh well. Maybe it comes down to just having his name on it, which means higher sales. Now THAT makes sense.
