Jay-Z continues to make big business moves and his latest venture comes in the form of bidding on a contract to redevelop the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, which is the current home of the New York Islanders NHL franchise.

As reported by the HuffingtonPost, today, Jay-Z attended a meeting with a group of investors that is trying to renovate Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, which is right outside of New York City.

The investment group that Hov is involved with is the same group that built the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn and is now bidding for the Veterans Memorial Coliseum project in Long Island.

For many years, Nassau County officials have been working on a redevelopment plan for the 40 year old arena.

Jay-Z along with the other investors, which includes the brains behind the Barclay’s Center Bret Ratner, will know if they won the bid for the Veterans Memorial Coliseum project this summer as Nassau County officials are expected to decide on a plan then.
