J.Cole Reveals Cole World: The Sideline Story Tracklist For This Weeks Any Given Sunday

Last week for J.Cole’s Any Given Sunday he revealed the artwork for his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story. Now for week 5 Cole is revealing track titles one by one on twitter, so for now a partial tracklisting is posted, and we will keep it updated as Cole reveals more song titles.

The Sideline Story is slated to be released on September 27th.

I doubt “Ahem” is the first track of the album. I’m thinking he said that to get everybody’s attention. I’m also thinking that it would make more sense to have “Intro” as the first track of the album.

I think that some of the tracks are just amazing and he continually do his thing. I’m going for this dude all the way. I guess I’m the only one who’s not really feeling this tracklist. At least not 100%. First off, we’ve got two songs that are old as shit. And correct me if I’m wrong but that J. Cole/Drake collab is a song that didn’t work musically because it was clearly forced. That song got no buzz whatsoever. Furthermore, if we’re talking only three features (which is fine) I don’t want one of those features to be Missy Elliott. Maybe that’s just a personal bias. And, last but not least… HOW IS THE SONG THAT’S SUPPOSED TO BE THE LEAD SINGLE A BONUS TRACK??? Has that ever happened before in the history of albums?

I’ve been looking forward to this CD more than any other this year. And J. Cole ranks in my Top 3. But this isn’t looking nearly as promising as I hoped. Real talk.

    HAM was the first ATTEMPTED single for WTT, and the response was lackluster so they chose another, which was a success. So they went with that on the main tracklist. Yes, THAT has happened on several occasions before. In J. Cole’s case… he has had two attempted singles and both have failed. Therefore, his album is dropping with no official lead single and the second of the failures is being added as a bonus track. These scenarios are not even close to the same. Think before you speak dickhead. And as a matter of fact… just shut the fuck up.
