Drake had a lot of heat come down on him when he released his Wu-Tang inspired track, “Wu-Tang Forever,” late last week due to the fact many Wu fans believe that it shouldn’t have the “Wu-Tang Forever” title, because he’s not paying tribute to the Wu.

One member of the Wu, Inspectah Deck, holds the same sentiment as many fans. The Wu-Tang rapper took to Twitter after listening to the song and gave his opinion on Drake’s Wu “tribute” and let it be known that he isn’t feeling the track:

“It is in no form a tribute to WU and SHOULD NOT wear the title Wutang Forever!”

Although Inspectah Deck isn’t feeling the track, U-God revealed that the Wu already recorded a remix to the song.

During a recent interview with Vibe, U-God revealed that the remix to Drake’s “Wu-Tang Forever” was recorded earlier this year in Europe.

U=God states:

They wanted us to remix it and get on there [so] you gon’ probably hear another one with us on it.

He continued:

Meth did his verse, we all did our verses. I wrote my rhyme in probably 15, 20 minutes. We were moving so fast we only had about four hours of studio time. If I had some time to really sit down and get juicy with it, I probably could’ve got juicier with it. But I still do a nice one, I still do a real banger.

U-God adds:

I’ve been bigging up Drake for a while. Plus he [sampled] the song that me and Rae jumped off so it made me feel real good. I’ve been in the game a long time and I really don’t get that much love. It’s positive.

As U-God wrapped things up, he didn’t address Inspectah Deck’s feelings on Drake’s “Wu-Tang Forever,” but he did speak on the Wu fans reaction to the record:

Our fans are some of the hardest fucking critics ever.You try something new, they get mad at you. I love my fans but we have some real meticulous hard fans… If I do a song with Prince, Wu-Tang fans are going to be mad. They really don’t like us meshing with nobody else. I tell my fans, you gotta let it ride. We want to get together with people and have fun, man. I’m tired of us being looked at like we’re unapproachable or antisocial. My Wu-Tang fans need to chill and just let bygones be bygones.

There is no word when the “Wu-Tang Forever” remix will be released.
