Recent sources reported that Ice-T, Chuck D and Grandmaster Caz will be performing at the Celebration of Music in Film, as part of Sundance Institute‘s annual ceremony.
The event is scheduled to take place in Park City, Utah on January 21, 2012.
Billboard reports that the three old-school rappers will be performing as part of promotion for Ice-T’s new documentary “Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap,” which features Afrika Bambaataa, Nas, Mos Def, Eminem, Chuck D, KRS-One, among others.
“Over the years people wanted to perform so they’d try to get booked at parties, which are isolated events. It made more sense to have a central performance space,” Sundance Film Music Program director Peter Golub recently stated.
