In a recent interview with Rap-Up TV, Game breaks down the tracks he did with Kanye as he says they recorded 2 songs for the album.
As Game speaks on the first one, which is the album’s title track, he says:
It’s hardcore rapping [and] Ye is on the hook doing his thing.
Game speaks on the second Jesus Piece collaboration with Ye:
It’s basically about me and ‘Ye talking about being in L.A., how it will capture you like it did Tupac. The allure of the gangbanging life… Hollywood sometimes mixes people up. You think it’s all good, then you get out here and shit gets real.
During the interview with RUTV, Game also touched on the concept of the album, as he says:
Basically the concept is like this, You want to believe in God, but you don’t want to be criticized and ridiculed by people who think that they’re better than you. I don’t want to feel like I can’t love God or appreciate Jesus and have to put down that blunt. I want to smoke, maybe shower up, then go to church. Get the word, walk out of church, maybe smoke again, maybe hit up a strip club or two and do me, but I don’t want to be ridiculed.
