As Def Sounds previously reported, Game announced the title for his forthcoming album as F.I.V.E.: Fear Is Victory’s Evolution. Now the Compton rapper has changed the title of the album.
When Game released the official CDQ version of the lead single “Celebration” from his new album, we noted that according to various reports, the rapper either changed the title of the album to The Dispensary or The Return Of Hurricane, but the reports were incorrect, and it is neither of the titles aforementioned as Game has renamed his forthcoming studio album to Jesus Piece.
In a recent interview with Vibe, Game reveals the official new title of his forthcoming album as Jesus Piece, and he also explains the reason for the change.
As Game speaks on his album title he says:
“Trey Songz came with his album Chapter V, and of course 50 had 5 (Murder by Numbers), I just felt like I should jump off that wagon. So I went back into the studio and started doing songs that leaned more towards the title. I think people gon’ appreciate the concept once they hear the music.”
“I’m a Christian but I’m not ‘holier than thou’. Jesus Piece gives me an opportunity to speak about situations that people like me who love God but are still street and still wanna remain themselves without going the Pastor Mase route. It gives the opportunity to know that it’s somebody out there that feels them.”
Game’s Jesus Piece is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of this year.
