Frank Ocean Talks Future Plans, Studio Session With Jay-Z & Pharrell Williams

Frank Ocean recently posted a new update on his official Tumblr page to discuss a variety of topics, including many of his future plans.

In the open letter, Ocean discussed plans to open a car club, move to either New York City or Tokyo and write a novel. Ocean also discussed his recent studio session with hip-hop icons Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams.

        Gotcha. I agree. I think he was talking about songwriting though. We’ll have to wait and see if he responds.

        Yes, I was talking about his actual writing. He employed a method called stream of consciousness. Despite the seeming simplicity of that particular style, it takes a certain rhythm and word arrangement to make it read convincingly on the page. I thought he did it well.
        
        P.S. – I didn’t say he was James Joyce.
        
        P.S.2 – I’ll reserve final judgement until his novel comes out [Yes, THAT one contained a hint of facetiousness ; ) ].

    it read convincingly on the page. It’s not simply a matter of writing a bunch of unrelated random thoughts. There’s a method to the madness that produces in the whole an underlying, unified theme. I thought he did that well.
