As Def Sounds previously reported, former Cash Money rapper Turk was released from prison on Friday morning after serving just about a 9-year sentence on attempted murder and federal weapons charges. With freedom upon him, Turk chopped it up with Wild Wayne on New Orleans’ Q93 for his first radio interview following his release from Forrest City, Arkansas Federal Prison, and discusses his plans for the future and more.
During the interview with Wild Wayne, Turk speaks on his upcoming autobiography, The AutoThugography Of Turk, which he says he is about to get a deal for. The New Orleans rapper also mentioned that he wrote a double CD, The AudioThugography Of Turk, while he was locked up, and he also wrote a screen play about his life entitled Reckless.
Turk spoke on keeping up with the industry while incarcerated, so he wouldn’t be too far behind when he got out, as he said:
I just stayed in contact with the industry, stayed up on what was going on, just trying to educate myself as much as I can so when I did get out, I wasn’t too far behind.
They’re gonna be in trouble when they hear this music, I’m gonna be sending something out soon.
As the interview continued, Turk addressed the possibility of signing with Young Money, as he explained:
I’m waiting on Mack Maine, he’s about to give me a call now, so Im waiting on him to hit me up to see what they’re talking about. We’re not nothing final right now. I’m just gonna say it’s in the air.
