There were two major hip hop releases this week as Atlanta rapper T.I. dropped his eighth studio album, Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head, and Chicago upstart Chief Keef released his debut album, Finally Rich.
As reported by HitsDailyDouble, The Grand Hustle boss is expected to sell between 150-175k copies in the opening sales week, while the Interscope/GBE rapper Chief Keef isn’t faring as well as T.I. and is estimated to sell 50-55k units in his first sales week.
If the sales projections hold true, Tip is looking at a possible debut at the #2 spot on the Billboard charts as he will battle it out with Michael Bublé’s Christmas album for the second spot, and Taylor Swift is continuing to move major units and is looking at another week on top of the charts.
Stay tuned to Def Sounds for the official first week sales numbers when they are revealed next week.
