Eminem will executive produce the debut album, Don’t Look Down, from the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Skylar Grey.

Skylar is best known for her work on Eminem’s Recovery as well as Slaughterhouse’s Welcome to OUR HOUSE album.

The Detroit rapper spoke on how he initially linked up with Skylar (in a press released published by the Examiner).

Em states:

When I was working on Recovery I was introduced to Skylar by Alex Da Kid and I was blown away with her talent as both a songwriter and vocalist.

Em adds that he is really impressed with her album:

This album is really going to give her a chance to connect with the fans who probably know her music, but might not know her yet. I think they will be as impressed as I am.

The first single from Don’t Look Down features Eminem, and is titled “C’mon Let Me Ride” that is produced by Alex Da Kid.  Eminem and Alex worked together on mixing the single that will be released on December 11th along with the video, which was shot last week in Detroit.

Skylar Grey’s debut, Don’t Look Down, is slated for a Spring 2013 release through Alex Da Kid’s label KIDinaKORNER and Interscope.
