The Top 20 Forbes Hip Hop Cash Kings for 2012 have been revealed, and Dr. Dre, Diddy Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lil Wayne land in the top 5 spots on the list.
With $110 million in earnings over the past year, Dr. Dre is this years Forbes Hip-Hop Cash King in large part to his Beats headphone line. Coming in second on the list, and not touching Dr.Dre is Diddy, who earned $45 million over the past year with most of his earning coming from his Circoc Vodka profits.
Not to far behind Diddy at #3 is Jay-Z who earned $38 million in large part from touring with Kanye West in support of the Watch The Throne album, ownership with the Nets, deals with Duracell, Budweiser and others. Landing at #4 is Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne partner Kanye West who earned $35 million from touring with Jay-Z, and deals with Nike and his women’s clothing line.
To round out the top 5 is Lil Wayne who earned $27 million mostly from touring in support of his last album Tha Carter IV, but also did deals with Trukfit and Mountain Dew over the past year.
