Yonkers rapper DMX was released from an Arizona state prison earlier today after serving out a 7 month bid on a probation violation.
DMX was initially sentenced to one year in prison this past December, after he violated his probation by refusing to submit to a drug test and other misdemeanor charges.
DMX’s first stop after being released is to check in with his probation officer, as he was freed on a supervised release.
A close associate of DMX gave a short statement on what he hopes the future holds for the rapper:
“Our goal is to keep DMX on the right track, and get him back to work.”
DMX’s next move may be to ink a deal with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, as it was revealed last month that X was in negotiations with Ross.
