With Diddy’s new music cable network “Revolt” launching tomorrow (Monday, October 21st), the Hip Hop mogul drops a new ad spot in support of the launch, and also describes what to expect from the music TV network.

REVOLT is a revolution in music on television, a place where artists and their viewers come together and engage with technology and social media. It’s a channel where new artists can share their work in the way it was meant to be: raw, uncut, and uncensored. REVOLT was selected by Comcast to be the first music network to truly leverage the power of social media, fueling the live music dialogue and influencing the music culture for the video-centric generation.

Diddy recently spoke on what to expect from Revolt, which he says it will become for music what ESPN is for sports and CNN is for news, and the launch is motivated by MTV’s move away from music:

“Young people are unplugging and running to the internet. But that’s because there just isn’t anything engaging on TV. The new network will feature music videos and news programs, music documentaries, the best of rock, the best of EDM, the best of hip-hop. We may play some country music if it’s funky enough … If you like good music, you finally have a home.”

He adds:

Revolt will become for music what ESPN is for sports and CNN is for news. If it’s happening in music, it will happen on Revolt.

The Revolt Music TV Network will go live on Time Warner Cable and Comcast at 8pm EST on Monday, 10/21.
