unique artist, i still listen to acid rap
Fantastic spoken word from Chance.
This was cool and different, I guess, but I want a rap, not a poem. It won’t be hard for anyone who’s really hungry to top this.
top this in what aspect? You cant compare this to any of those other lil dudes who are going to spit 8 bars about nothing. Hopefully this inspires a few of the other dudes to be creative.
gates is one of the best! at least top 4 out of those freshman
i’m not saying i’d rather hear 2chainz, but a Vic Mensa, Isaiah Rashad, or Jon Connor will walk all over this mediocre freestyle because they came to rap, not just to be different and “creative”.
They aren’t gonna sing for the first 20-30 seconds just because it makes them feel different. They’ll use their full time, more than eight bars, and show people a real freestyle. That’s what I meant by “really hungry”.
you think he sang to be different?? Thats the problem with you kids nowadays, you think everything different is to be cool or hip.
you think everything has a motive. You look at things too bluntly and thats why concept albums are dead
WuTang cant even work with Cher because ignorant traditional hip hop fans are not creative enough to enjoy something thats not fucking KRS One 24/7
I feel bad for people like you, it must be really boring not being able to appreciate something for what it is
Well, the singing wasn’t that good and didn’t really add to the piece, so idk what else to think. Besides that, I agree my generation can be a little too defensively cynical.
I liked Acid Rap, I just don’t like much by Chance after AR. I also don’t think concept albums are dead, if only because of GKMC.
were you complaining about ab-souls he did a few years back when it was a similar style?
I liked Ab-Soul’s XXL Freestyle, but I also thought it wasn’t the best thing he could’ve done to show off his talent as a rapper.
what the fuck is this?
bottom line…this is NOT HIP HOP
how is this not Hip Hop?
You would shit your pants if you ever listened too artist like Kool Keith or Shabazz Palaces
Dope. I think only Connor will top this
