In a recent interview with Billboard magazine, 50 Cent spoke about his “Street King” energy drink, and how it evolved during the Occupy Wall Street protests.

“[When] I was developing the market for [Street King], [there] was a lot of protesting going on: Occupy Wall Street, L.A. and Chicago, all those different places. It was really visible how people felt major corporations didn’t actually care about them.” 50 concluded, “It felt like the right thing to do.”

The G-Unit general also touched on his recent single “My Life,” which features Eminem and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine. “I’m happy with the record. Early in my career I said something positive about Maroon 5, and Adam happened to hear it and never forgot it.”
