After multiple delays and a couple rifts with his label, 50 Cent has finally announced a release date for what will be his 5th studio album.

Fif took to Twitter early this morning and made the announcement that his still untitled, upcoming LP will be released on July 2nd.

    Straight up I aint done, I’m tired of people talkin shit on 50 like Get Rich wasn’t in the top 10 rap albums of all time, like he don’t still kill it with the freestyles (10 outta 10s, the big 10, etc.) TBH I’d rather hear 50 rap about the past that hes lived and he knows and do it well, than to hear some fraudulant motherfucker like rick ross talk about shit hes never done, and eman I’d almost be willing to put money that you listen to ross. Man straight up the problem isnt with hiphop, its with the fans lettin these fake ass rappers slide by like they worked to get where they are at, fuck that and fuck the fans straight up. Open your fucking ears and decide for yourself who a good rapper is rather than listening to your dumb ass friend tell you little bitch is good and you go and listen to it yourself.         i gave big 10 a quick listen, it wasnt terrible but it didnt change my mind much about 50 at this point in time, im just not a 50 fan anymore, not tryin to diss him or anything but havent been feelin much hes put out since the massacre

        Who’s lyrical then? Lil Wayne? Big Sean? fucking Meek Mill? I agree with the fact that lyrically, 50 is nowhere in the J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Slaughterhouse league.. But dude has bars when he tries. There were some fire ass verses on the Big 10 and the Street King Energy Tracks. Did you hear “Shady Murder”? How about “Run up on Me”? Those are vintage Fif. Now I’m sorry 50 doesn’t have the wittiest wordplay, but there are very few artists out there that can ride a beat so smoothly with a laid back flow and deliver a flawless hook at the same time like Curtis Jackson.. Agreed he’s not in his prime anymore, but don’t take the respect away from his music, regardless.

I hope you market and advertise the album well, 50. You seriously need some help from your fellow peers to help sell this album. Bring in some hot features. A collaboration with Eminem & Dr. Dre on the same song, Banks, T.I., Luda, Kanye West > (that’d sell a lot of records), Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, John Legend, Rihanna..
Add to that some top notch production- Dr. Dre (of course), maybe some classic Eminem, Alex Da Kid, Boi1da, Just Blaze, Scott Storch, DJ Khalil, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League..

Tell me an album with those big names won’t sell more than a million records..

    I agree Nick, but I was mainly naming those artists so that the record sells and people start recognizing 50 like they did in 03-06. He’s not gonna be considered “relevant” making songs with Jadakiss, Royce 5’9, DMX, etc. Don’t get me wrong, those would be sick collabos, but being considered “relevant” in this age? He’ll DEFINITELY need a Bruno/Rihanna/Pitbull/Cbrown/Lil wayne feature. That’s just how the market works these days.. We’d all love to see Ferrari F50 selling records again. Do you remember Before I Self Destruct? 2 big features and like 4 songs with popular producers.. And it bombed. That list I mentioned before is accurate.
    
    The world needs bangers now. We got our fair share from 50. He’s released enough old school feel tracks in the 2011 freestyles, SK energy, Big 10, etc. He should just bring out many guests and have some banging beats, and everyone will be screaming- “50′s back!” again…
