    I never understood why people say if it wasn’t for such in such there wouldn’t be this. That makes no sense. Thats like saying if the creators of the english language did not exist we would be talking. No we would just be talking a different way. Fans pave the way for hiphop not the artist. If it wasn’t for the fans no one would know who 2pac, biggie, em, wayne etc.. is. So what i am trying to say is rap/hip hop will always be the least creative form of music. and that being said anyone can do it and anyone could have created it. Its just words over a beat.

      I mean, maybe not. I agree the fans played a part, but if you look at what Hip Hop first was, it wasn’t just words over a beat. It was DJs supplying the music, dancers providing the atmosphere and graffiti artists spreading the culture throughout the inner cities. The words were really only part of the equation, none more important than the other.
      
      I would also agree that fans are just as important, but considering the opposition to the “movement” when it first started, the pioneers deserve a lot of credit.
      
      If you had to define a decade as “Hip Hop,” wouldn’t you agree that it was one of the last two decades? 1990-2000 or 2000-2010? Tattoos, pop culture, internet, etc.
      
      Point is, Hip Hop became “mainstream” years after it was created.
      
      Idk. Just something to consider.

I so fucking hate people who like 2Pacs music and instead of searching for other artists from that time (like Naughty By Nature, Kam, Tribe Called Quest, Lords of Underground…), they rather listen to some of that wack 2012 shit. Sometimes I feel like people only like Pac because hes at all so popular.
Pac was a real artist and there are other real artists still around, but instead of listening to other real artists, they listen to fakes, wannabes and posers. Smdh..
And when people like me make a real talk in threads of those fakes, these uneducated fucks come around and wish me to be banned from defsounds..
