Crooked I: C.O.B. Radio “Diss Records Edition”

For real though. Pac was the rapper no one really messed with. Not because he was lyrically a god, just his personality and aura. Everything he represents is why he’s the best mc of all time. He’s not one dimensional. On the beef tip, He directly called out rappers or anyone he had problems with. He didn’t pussy foot around with subliminal. He called dude by names. Even though it wasn’t much of a beef with the East, he constantly called out the top dogs at the time by name in his so called “beef” songs. Now all them dudes talk nice about him. Jay, Nas, etc. Don’t get me wrong, these two are in my top five along with Pac. But what other rapper you know who would constantly mash on another rapper on wax and they never really reply and when that rapper is gone its nothing but “love” in public?

Simply put, Pac was the embodiment of the holy trinity. You couldn’t questions his subject matter because for some reason you can believe it. Like Jeezy just put out “We done it again” and some folks are saying, WTF, you aint a political rapper. But Pac could cruise through any lane. He was a revolutionary rapper like Dead Prez, Nas and em, He could talk to the ladies like LL, be a gangsta rapper like every believable rapper, a conscious cat like your Lupes…

There’s no rapper who can walk through those lanes at the same damn time without raising a few eye brows…I can think maybe Nas, but he will catch a few hate rounds. But no one ever questions Mr. Shakur. So forget your soundscan numbers and gazillion fans and twitter followers, you can never top birthing a generation of rappers who are still being born…The only GOAT.
