50 Cent Announces ”Sleek by 50” Headphones

[twitter=50cent]50 Cent[/twitter] launched a line of wireless headphones, Sleek by 50, which are sure to give Beats by Dre a run for its money. Below is a CNBC interview with Curtis in which Mr. Jackson discusses Sleek by 50, as well as other investments.

    Sleek is lame!!!Im not a hater, and I havent heard them. But this headphone sh*t is crazy. Jay-z’s actually looks way BETTER, buT remember you will always have to play for quality.
    
    From someone who makes music, you need to hear every ‘dimension’ and beats are THE ONLY headphones that offer that. fuck sleek, the wireless is cool though

  Nice. I’m a real headphone’s junky but never really settled for anything more than $35. I actually thought of maybe saving up for Beats by Dr. Dre, but was short. Now hopefully I don’t have to. Since this is new to the market, the price should not be that high. I’m guessing around $100-250. Max.

  nothins fuckin with the beas yo, the sound qualty is unmatchable. Wirless is cool but it takes away from the sound you get from the HQ cord that the beats have, and i could see myself gettin pissed if the batteries died on me.

Beats have terrible audio quality. Anyone who has compared them with Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Denon, AKG, Phiaton, or a host of other actual quality brands know this. They’re insanely overpriced. While they’re absolutely gorgeous headphones, they just can’t compete with good headphones and are only popular because of the brand name and the way they look.

I can’t pass judgement on these until I hear them, so here’s hoping they don’t try to copy the Beats and don’t have outrageous, muddy bass that overwhelms the mids and highs completely.
