On October 22nd, Kendrick Lamar released his critically acclaimed album “Good Kid: M.A.A.D City” through Top Dog Entertainment/Aftermath. Among the project’s many hits, one record features production from one of the most talented up-and-coming production teams out right now.

Tabu is an upcoming and highly talented production team out of Copenhagen, Denmark who have already worked with some of Hip Hop’s most notable acts. In fact, the Treacherous Records in-house producers recently laced Kendrick Lamar with a beat for his song “The Art of Peer Pressure” which has received an incredible response among critics. However, Tabu has also worked with Kendrick Lamar’s Top Dawg Entertainment label mate Schoolboy Q as well.

In a recent interview with The Shadow League, Tabu explains:

We love what the T.D.E. camp brings to the table, the sound and how they bring the good stuff back in Hip Hop … getting on Kendrick’s album was just a double bonus for us.

It is certainly a great look for Tabu to appear on such a highly regarded project and fans can expect to hear a lot more coming from them going forward.

While Tabu has provided beats to artists outside of their own camp, fans will surely recall their work with Crooked I, the Horsehoe Gang, One-2 and K-Young. Please preview a few sample’s of their production that they’ve been apart of this past year.
